Hi everyone,
Just a "hello" as a new member and ex-lurker. This is a great site. I'm looking forward to learning a lot and sharing. I picked up a 1995 960 sedan for about $2000 last year my new-driver duaghter. I bought with about 142,000 original miles, now at 148,000. It came with all new A/C components (appreciated here in Vegas as we hit 100 degrees) and new paint due to a minor front end collision. Only interior issue is typical entry/exit wear on the driver's seat back edge by the door, and vinyl pull-away on the rear door panels, plus a few broken plastic bits like passenger seat control trim. But the leather is 99% unblemished and unworn, no dash cracks. Passenger window won't go up from driver's switch. Needs a new vacuum bellows for the cruise control. The driving lights are broken, and I'm having an issue with intermittent dash lights. Just finished cleaning up a stuck EGR valve and it sounds like I have a power brake booster leak. Basically a solid car with a few bugs to sort out. Nothing unexpected for the age. All said, it's the nicest driving inexpensive car I've ever had. I added a Pioneer deck with Bluetooth audio & streaming, plus a box subwoofer and amp in the trunk, running stock speakers. My musician girl has a rolling sound studio! I mention this mod because it sounds awesome, better than our Mark Levinson/Lexus system, and with my labor and prudent shopping, it's <$200. Very cool car for a kid, and I love driving it too.
