I'm driving from NH to CO at the end of August with my dad because I'm going to school out there.
My S70 will be garaged and its reg will be transferred to my new beast: a 2001 XC with 168k on the clock.
We scooped it at auction last Monday for an insanely cheap and I've been driving it for a week (coincidentally my S70 needs a new alternator). We've been picking away at its issues, and today it got some new Nexen rubber on the minty Perfo's I found on CL.
Mechanical issues are minor, there are no electrical demons, and cosmetically the car is great. The brown leather interior is what made me fall in love with the car.
The worst cosmetic flaw was the factory wheel corrosion, hence why I got the Perfo's. You can see it in this next picture (from when I punctured the tire the other day 
).
The S70 is a fun driver that's loud, stiff, and raw. This XC is comfortable, functional, comfortable, it'll be a beast in the CO mountains, and it's also comfortable. Very different cars but great in their own respects.
