Inside Sales/Customer Service Representative:
We are currently accepting applications from persons interested in filling a Customer Service Representative position at iPd Volvo based in Portland, Oregon.
Report to: Robert Cowgill, Customer Service and Logistics Manager.
Job Summary:
iPd emphasizes exemplary customer service, and in this vital role you will be responsible for ensuring our customers receive prompt, courteous and professional attention to product inquires, order placement and maintenance, as well as technical support for our products and their installation.
Job Description:
Customer Service Representatives spend the vast majority of their time on the phone answering inquires about our products, assisting customers with the placement and maintenance of orders, and offering technical support for our products. Email is another key form of communication with our customers, and representatives field both phone calls and emails throughout the day. Customer service representatives are also tasked with assistance in daily logistics management as well as to engage with our customers via online enthusiast forums and other forms of social media. We have a large number of local customers and we make ourselves available for those customers by way of a walk-in counter and will-call area, for which our Customer Service Representatives are also responsible.
Job Skills Required:
First and foremost we are looking for individuals with excellent customer service and communication skills. Patience, professionalism, and attention to detail are crucial attributes for this role. Familiarity with the automotive industry, particularly Volvo cars is important however education and assistance with mastering the nuances of the Volvo brand will be continuously provided. A strong desire and ability to learn and retain information is as important as baseline knowledge. We’re looking for individuals with strong verbal and written communication skills, and you should be able to comfortably navigate basic computer systems and internet applications. Additional language familiarity such as Spanish or Japanese is appreciated but not required.
Job Specifics:
We are hiring for a full-time position and customer service representatives report daily from 8:15am to 5pm Monday-Friday except for Holidays. There are occasions when some heavy lifting (over 50 lbs) is required, however should you be unable to perform those tasks there are plenty of people who can assist. You will be teamed with 5-6 other customer service representatives and will work within close proximity to those individuals.
