Figured i'd start a build thread since i've owned the car for almost 5 months and i'm now finally starting work on it.
Bought this 855 Platinum edition and kind of got screwed in the sale with shady paperwork and title issues. According to the DMV i need a letter from the state of alabama to prove the car was never registered there, blah blah Alabama sucks and never helps me when i call. Tags are paid for and the car is smogged, hopefully ill get my plates from the DMV in the next few weeks.
Onto the cool stuff. Looks like the car only had 2 real owners, (went through an auction and another seller). Its in pretty good shape minus a wavy rear fender, and paint chipping off the front and rear bumpers. Interior is great, everything functions as it should inside, 3rd row seating. 127k on the clock and as you all know its a 96.
Just bought a ton of maintenance parts to do a full stage 0 on the engine (headgasket kit, timing belt/waterpump kit, hoses, PCV, etc) , need to purchase suspension stuff next. Picking up a 5 speed swap for it this week and then once that is all done it will be onto performance upgrades. Looking to do NA cams, TB, and mani with an 18 or 19T + japanifold, plus exhaust and intercooler work and a supporting tune.
