Picked up my 2000 V70R about a month ago as a practical beater and to help defer some miles from the S60. When I saw it come up for sale, I knew I had to have it, and within 24 hours of its first being listed on Craigslist it was mine. The V70R in this color combo (Emerald Green on Charcoal/Tan two tone) has always been my favorite combination on this wagon and it's rare to boot. It has some needs, which I've already started addressing. I added the XC Grille to replace the hideous black painted one it came with (the correct blue slash will be installed shortly). I also installed a new IPD HD TCV to help with a pesky overboost condition (P0234) that I can't seem to eliminate (wastegate adjustment and hoses are next).
The previous owner was a semi-enthusiast and kept it up fairly well, and it has a bunch of go-fast parts already installed including a strut brace, IPD HD CBV, Poly mounts all around, new Bilstein struts up front (which will be for sale soon), silicone vac lines, etc. It came from Arizona so there is some clearcoat fading on the bumper tops as well as door handles. Everything mechanical works, including the AWD, and the driveshaft was recently rebuilt by Colorado Driveshafts.
Once it gets a bit warmer, I'll be installing a wagon spoiler and taking some proper (non-iPhone) pictures. Thanks for looking!
The twist: Anyone recognize the first owner, based on this insurance card still in my owner's manual? Hint: She's a very famous Swede!
