Just recently purchased a 1999 Volvo V70 Base wagon with 205K miles on the clock. Found the car fax and it was owned twice. First owner for 88 miles Second owner until 205K miles. Service records since new performed at Volvo dealerships. ABS/TRAC light was on when I got it. That was an easy fix by wedging a piece of plastic between the ABS unit and the connector. Passed state inspection no other issues. Clean body, drivers seat and drivers door panel a bit used but not horrible. No rust anywhere. Got is for $995.00 dealer said it was difficult to sell cars with over 200K miles no matter how they look or run. After owning Volvo's in the past ie 122S,164E,740Turbo, 240DL, I know they will run for a LONG time if taken care of. This gem was taken care of. I will share pictures once I get her waxed up for the winter months. We named her Lola.

Drift Day At Pitt Raceway (Non-Volvo Content)
So I went to Pittsburgh this past weekend and just got back today, finally went through all the 500 pictures that I took at the event. Really pleased with the results.
Sorry I know it's the wrong kind of 240, but I just thought I'd share

Intro
Hey guys,
Didnt really see a section for a new member to introduce themselves, so hopefully this is an ok space to do it. If not Mods, please remove this post or move it to the desired location please.
About me:
I have been in the automotive field professionally for 10 years now, more if you count the under 18 years swapping and fixing cars in my garage. I own Excelsior Racing in Jeffersonville, IN and we specialize in a wide variety of automotive fields. Do I know it all? Absolutely not, and that isnt my goal honestly. My goal is to gain a very broad base and employ or gain specific knowledge myself. I dont tune cars, but I understand on a basic level how to do it. I outsource that to someone who is far more capable than I am. But enough about my shop, that isnt why i am here. If you have questions though, please feel free to ask.
I also work for a pro race team out of Florida that run cars in the Pirelli World Challenge TC class and also in the Trans Am series in the TA3 class.
I am here because i recently picked up a 2001 Volvo 2.4t for a great price and because I wanted to mix it up at the shop. I did a good zero stage maintenance to the car along with a timing belt kit. I track the car anytime i get a chance. It has been to Mid-ohio, Putnam park, and Homestead in Florida. Also, many auto cross and charity race events. Hands down by far my favorite car I own currently...and sadly it is my wifes daily...
I am here to gain further knowledge outside of what i have scrambled to gain in the short time I have owned the car.
Any questions are welcome and encouraged!
Thanks,
Austin Webb
Tropic Green S70 In The Desert
The weather finally cooled down enough for me to give my car a thorough polishing and wax job. I just thought I'd show it off for shiggles.

Going on this?
For some reason I think chrome will work on this car with the headlights and grill.

Looking For "wizzard_Al"
I was referred to "wizzard_al" by someone on this forum to cantact wizard about a vida cd for volvo repairs.Anyone who can put me in touch with this person I would appreciate it because I just bought a 2004 xc90 and I do most of my own repairs so a good manual would be invaluable to me.
New Car For The Wife
Been a while, needed something important to share, my wife's first Volvo. (maybe wheels, she's all about comfort so no lowering springs for now)
Thank You, Johan Pluym
I was doing my tailgate shocks and noticed this sticker on the inside of the upper D pillar panel.
Thank you, Johan Pluym. Your services are appreciated.

Greetings All
Just purchased my first Volvo, a used 1998 Z70. I have owned cars from many other manufactures but this is my first "real" Swedish" car. Was told to avoid the newer ones since Ford bought out the company. I have no intention of modifying this car as I did with my Mitsubishi Eclipse. However, after watching the video of the 1000hp Volvo station wagon got me thinking... Perhaps not :-) , this project will be leaning to reliability with a little pep.
Anyway greetings everyone.

Richard Gordon Passed Away
I just noticed that IPD has put up an article to commemorate Richard Gordon, their founder and owner until earlier this year. He certainly left a legacy for the Volvo enthusiast community.

Big Booty Girl
It all started in late 2012, when I had to sell my S70
After getting crashed into from behind, I had them get a Motec Sport Exhaust instead of an OEM replacement and caught the bug again.
First came the Intake Pipe/ECU spacer
Then rear lowering springs from Ean
Then wheel spacers and a rear debage
As she sits now with my boy abe
As of now, theres a downpipe in my apt waiting to go on, and I'm looking at rear sways
